Kanawaki has a number of KEY traditions that are documented here, in order of importance. It is up to the members to ensure that they are maintained and strengthened.

A GOLF CLUB
Kanawaki is and has always been a golf club FIRST AND FOREMOST and we will strive for this to forever be the case.

DRESS CODE
A dress code is in place that is in keeping with the conservative and historic nature of our club.

SPEED OF PLAY
At Kanawaki foursomes MUST complete play in less than FOUR Hours. Taking longer is accepted as slow play.

EASE OF ACCESS TO THE COURSE
It has always been possible for a member who shows up at the Club alone to get a game within a reasonable period of time, including weekends.

TREES
Kanawaki has an outstanding collection of beautiful mature trees that make the course a scenic and pleasant place to be.

CADDIES
We are one of the few courses left with caddies available.

HISTORIC EVENTS
The Club has many competitive and social events that have a rich history behind them. These events should be continued in perpetuity.

LONG TERM EMPLOYEES
The Club has a number of employees who have been with Club for many years. These people contribute significantly to members’ enjoyment of the Club.

PROXIMITY TO THE CITY
Club members who work downtown can drive to the premises in about 20 minutes.
